Wow what a day
Exactly 8 days less than one year since I was baptised my 3 kids all decided to go for the plunge. The fruits of a changed lifestyle could not be more realized than in each one of my children themselves choosing a public proclamtion of their faith. I have made plenty of mistakes but for the first time in my adult life I can look back at my last year with no regrets. My children CHOSE to be baptised, I have never been a prouder parent or felt more positive emotions than I did yesterday. I want to thank the Lord for placing all the tools in my life that have made this happen. My family thanks Pastor Dan for being the rock for our family that it so desperatly needed. Pastor Aaaron for being his rock, and for being my teacher on so many levels. Our Northshore family that doesn't probally realize how important a part of our family they are. Most importantly I want to thank my family for sticking with me, I hope this last year has started to make up for a lifetime of mistakes. Without any sense of authroity I am also so proud of Julie and her decision yesterday. enjoy the video

Crazy Experience
Went to the states yesterday to go out to eat with the family, stopped in briefly at Wallmart when a crazy experience happened or unfolded. A young guy (probally about 13) was walking with a poster board sign that read " I tried to steal batteries from Walmart. GOD says thou shall not steal". He was walking in front of the store back and forth and obviously was not grinning ear to ear. A flood of funky emotions came over me, I walked up to him and told him that I was involved in stealing allot more than batteries and my name was on the front page of the paper and to keep his chin up. He gave me a half smile and continued walking. Kudos to his parents or whoever was responsible for this form of punishment, lessons can be learned and taught from anywhere at anytime. What great lessons I learned, yesterday, three weeks ago and a year ago. To the few people following this I promise I will do it more frequent

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 3, 2010
Hallelujah! I just reviewed the front page news article online...and in the end, I'm actually somewhat relieved. Firstly, sorry for not updating my daily walk, but I will start to do so immediately, as I have continued to read and write my way through the Bible.
Some of the things, including this blog, may be not legally sound, but so be it. I am extremely sorry that Dean's name was mentioned, as he had absolutely nothing to do with this mess, and to the best of my knowledge, Della was also unaware. The comments by Steve were extremely disappointing, and actually hurt, but at this time, we will continue to pray for him and his family. There are hundreds if not thousands of people I have not talked to and this has been one of the biggest casualties of the scenario that played out. To the innocent bystanders, I am truly sorry, first and foremost my wife & kids. To my core group of friends and family who know the truth, I appreciate all of your support. Please remember to have my family in your prayers.
Please bear with me as I gather my thoughts back together and begin to write about what I've read in God's word...

DAY 73, MARCH 14, 2010
Numbers 21:1-22:20
The people of Israel ask the Lord for help to beat the Canaan. The Lord obliges, but shortly after the Israelis forget and start to complain again. For once, it seems as if the Jews realize that speaking against the Lord doesn't turn out good and they repent their sins. God sent the death from earth as they didn't appreciate the gifts of heaven. With the blessings of the Lord, Israel seems to be eating up the nations in this area. Balaam seems to be a Godly man who has a relationship with the Lord. He isn't bribed by any amount of money or anything to betray the Lord. He agrees to go to Balak, but only because the Lord led it. This whole episode also shows if you are blessed by God, not even another man of God can curse or hurt you.
Luke 1:26-56
The people in Nazareth were look down upon by the rest of the Israelis, so it is poetic justice that God choose someone from Nazareth to have His son, the King of Kings, our saviour Jesus Christ. When Mary goes to visit Elizabeth, and the baby jumps when it hears Mary's voice, this is another confirmation of God's work and his master plan coming together. When Gabriel tells Mary that she is going to give birth to Jesus, she questions it not from a stance of it not happening, more from a stance that she didn't understand how? As she was a virgin. Mary is a great example for us all to follow...she committed wholly to the Lord even without a sense of understanding, she is committed body, mind and soul to the Lord.

DAY 72, MARCH 13, 2010
Numbers 19:1-20-29
At the start of Chapter 20, a common recurring theme seems to be happening among the Israelites. They start to complain about the lack of figs, pomegranates, and water among other things. Is this an illustration by the Bible to show how faithless and forgetful as a people we are? After the rock issue with Moses and Aaron, God seems to punish them for not doing what He told them to do. I assume this was he was told to command water out of the rock and instead he hit the rock. Aaron passes away on Mount Her as God tells him he will be joining his ancestors, all the people of Israel mourn for thirty days.
Luke 1:1-25
This is the beginning of Luke and it starts out being addressed to Theophilus, who is this person. The first part of this addresses John the Baptist's birth and the angel Gabriel telling Zachariah of his son coming. Zachariah at first doubts Gabriel's prophesy of his wife having a special baby that will convert lots of Israelis to the Lord. For having doubt, Gabriel will not let Zachariah speak until John the Baptist is born. Imagine having the most amazing prophesy and testimony to tell and not being able to talk about it because of your own flesh and his wife's flesh instead of having faith in the Lord. He thought they were too old to conceive, but with the Lord, all is possible.

DAY 71, MARCH 12, 2010
Numbers 16:41-18:32
Yet agian the people of Israel complain and grumble agianst the Lord. Should they not respect and fear Him after all He has done? The Lord is extrememly angry as the people are upset with Aaron and Moses and they are the ones who have twice in two days prayed for the people to be saved from God's vengeance. He even started a plague to kill them all and Aaron had to run amongst them to make it right with God so no one would die.
Mark 16:1-20
The power of this part of the Bible is overwhelming and all powerful. His sacrifice for us and then ressurection is the most powerful event in our history. The ressurection proves that Jesus is what He said He was; the "Son of God". He told the disciples what would happen, but they couldn't get their heads around the idea. The disciples were mourning and weeping over His death when this should have been a time for jubilation and celebration as his suffering was over and He was ressurected. How could they not believe He said He was going to be ressurected and these women said they saw Him and He spoke to them, yet they still didn't believe. the unbelief of the disciples is crazy considering all the miracles and displays that Jesus has done. Jesus, You are our saviour and redeemer. We love and cherish you and appreciate what You have done for us, Amen!
